Introduction to Neodymium Magnets


Neodymium magnet is also known as NdFeB magnet, and its formula is Nd2Fe14B, the artificial permanent magnet. NdFeB magnets are the highest performance magnets currently found in the commercialization, called as Magneto, with a high maximum magnetic energy product (BHmax) higher than ferrite (Ferrite) more than 10 times. They enjoy a wonderful mechanical performance. Their operating temperature can be up to 200 degrees Celsius. And their hardness, stable performance, and competitive price make their wide application. However, because their strong chemical activity, custom Neodymium magnets must deal with its surface coating.
Type
Neodymium magnets can be divided into two types of sintered NdFeB and bonded NdFeB. Injection molding is actually bonded; sintered NdFeB is heated by high temperature vacuum. NdFeB magnets: Material grades have N35-N52; various shapes according to specific requirements of processing:, round, square, punching, magnetic tile, magnetic, convex, trapezoidal; despite of these advantages, it is easy to surface rust, so usually require some protective surface treatment: nickel, zinc, gold-plated, epoxy resin.
Process
Process: Ingredients¡úmelting ingot/rejection with flour¡úsintering temper¡úpressure mould¡úsintering temper¡úmagnetic detection¡úgrinding¡úcut-off processing¡úfinished plating. Wherein the ingredients are basic and on the key is sintering temper. Production tools and performance testing tools for rough Neodymium magnets: smelting furnace, thrown with stove, cracker, jet milling, molding machine, vacuum packaging machine, isostatic presses, sintering furnace, vacuum heat treatment furnace, magnetic testing meter, and gauss meter.

Application
Nowadays, neodymium magnets are rapidly developed and enjoy a wide range of applications. In many fields, it is possible to replace the traditional ferrite magnets, alnico and SmCo magnets such as motors, equipment and instrumentation, automotive, petrochemical industry and magnetic health care products. They can be produced a variety of shapes: such as disc magnets, ring magnets, rectangular magnets, arc-shaped magnets and other magnets. Everyday electronic products, such as hard drives, mobile phones, headsets, etc., are the presence of a neodymium magnet.
Acoustic field: the speaker, receiver, microphone, alarm, stage audio, car audio and so on.
Electronics: permanent magnetic actuator vacuum circuit breakers, magnetic relays, meter, meter, sound meter, a reed switch, sensors.
